Is Exuma island crowded with tourists / cruise ships / beach resorts?

No. Cruise ships cannot enter our shallow waters. It is the shallowness that makes Exuma so incredibly beautiful with its turquoise water. There are no crowds of tourists at all. You will find American and Canadian sailboats escaping cold winters in the Elizabeth harbour off of Georgetown. It’s very pretty to see them sailing by. You may even see a movie star yacht or two. Exuma is sparsely populated with just under 400 islands, with only 5000 people throughout.
